How do you capture your website visitors’ interest and turn them into loyal customers or subscribers?
Especially when the human attention span lasts less than that of a goldfish – psst! about 7 seconds!
Well, one of the first places where you can impress is with your website design or landing page.
When you have a unique, creative and functional web page that puts the right information where it matters the most, you’ve hit the jackpot.
Every web hosting company claims that it is the best. So how do you separate the wheat from the chaff? The truth from the half-truths? Well, for one – you can rely on the experts.
In this case – WordPress.
WordPress offers just 4 recommendations from the hundreds of web hosting companies out there. They are Bluehost, Dreamhost, Flywheel and SiteGround.
Now if you decide to go by their recommendations you may end up choosing between Bluehost and SiteGround.
(I’m not familiar with Flywheel and I don’t like the absence of a CPanel in Dreamhost). If you are like me, chances are, you may lean towards Bluehost, they being cheaper and all.
However, before you jump to conclusions, read this post! Here I do a SiteGround vs Bluehost comparison to help you see the bigger picture.
Want to start a food blog that’s highly profitable in today’s competitive online space? There’s no better way to do it than learn the secrets from the best money making food blogger in the business. Read on to find out who I’m talking about!
The word evokes thoughts of earning loads of money with little stress or effort! Its easy to do a Google search and discover that many ordinary people are making big money doing what they love by blogging about it.
But, if you get carried away with all that fancy talk and jump into blogging without a proper plan, you’re doomed to fail. Any Google search will reveal how big businesses and popular bloggers failed overnight and eventually gave up on blogging.
But don’t be discouraged.
Despite Google heavily penalizing websites, negative link building tactics crushing competitors, SEO services going awry, financial constraints and difficulties in finding the right people to hire for your blog, you can still start a blog and make money like a pro!
Landing pages are the doorway to the big bucks.
I don’t have to tell you how important landing pages are for your business. If you want your website visitors to turn into paying customers, you need a highly effective landing page that converts. One that has all the right elements to attract your website visitors and get them to sign up to whatever you are offering.
If your landing pages are another run-of-the-mill sales page, or fails to convey its intent clearly, you’ll lose out on subscribers and leads that will eventually cost you your business.
The thing is – when you sit down to build a landing page for your business, its too easy to get caught up in the design work and spend countless hours trying to get it right. I can tell you from experience that all those hours are nothing but a waste of time. It will still be missing something important and end up looking unprofessional.
Thankfully, there are many creative tools and plugins that take the stress out of creating landing pages. One WordPress plugin that I particularly love using is from Thrive Themes.
Its called Thrive Content Builder (see my full review here) and its an extremely powerful plugin that actually works as a content editor. Once installed, you get access to the Thrive Landing Pages feature that comes integrated with the plugin.
A good web hosting service is the foundation of any website. Get your web host wrong and you’ll be continuously plagued by issues like site speed and security that will cost you badly in terms of time and money.
If you are starting your web business for the first time, it is absolutely imperative that you get off to a great start with the right web host.
If you are unhappy with your current hosting provider, you can always switch to a different web host. But don’t worry! Changing your web host doesn’t mean that you have to spend more time and money. And, it doesn’t even have to be a complicated affair.
I Needed a New Web Host
After my previous experiences with JustHost, TMD Hosting, Dreamhost, Hostgator, Inmotion and Bluehost, I needed a web host who really stood out from the crowd and was yet affordable. I also needed a web host that had:
- A good reputation
- Server reliability with good uptime scores
- Server upgrade options
- Speedy delivery of web pages
- An easy-to-use control panel
- Site backup features
- Clear account suspension policies
- Good security features and most importantly :-
- Solid support
My search narrowed down to 2 options – SiteGround and WP Engine.
